Sudowrite adds scene and object images to Story Bible worldbuilding

Sudowrite’s October 7 update brings image generation and uploads to Story Bible worldbuilding cards, using existing traits as visual references.

Image generation moves into setting cards

Sudowrite announced on October 7, 2026 that Story Bible’s Worldbuilding section now supports images for locations and objects. Authors can generate artwork within a card or upload existing images.

The feature draws on the card’s trait fields. Separate prompts are optional; authors can select styles and add details about lighting, mood or perspective.

An extension of Character Portraits

The release follows Character Portraits, introduced the previous week, and extends image support to locations and objects. Written settings and visual references now sit together on Story Bible cards for authors to consult while drafting.

Card galleries collect variations and visual references

Generated images stay in each card’s gallery, where authors can compare versions and choose a thumbnail. As places and objects acquire images, the collection becomes a visual atlas of the story world. Sudowrite says the feature is now available.
